Made in Kira — Roman Frankel

Made in Kira was founded in Paris in 2022 by Roman Akira Frankel — an architect of Japanese heritage whose creative life has always been shaped by two worlds. After studying interior architecture and set design, he spent a formative year in Tokyo working in the studio of visionary architect Sou Fujimoto, deepening his connection to the Japanese aesthetic vocabulary he had carried since childhood. A first lamp exhibited at the Salon International du Patrimoine Culturel in 2019 was the turning point. Kira followed three years later — not as a lighting brand, but as something more personal: the expression of an identity, a memory, a search for balance.
