Entrelacs was founded by Yves and Paul Macheret, born from the Fonderie d'Art Macheret — a bronze and brass foundry in the Perche Sarthois region of central France. 'A history of family craftsmanship rooted in central France, passed down from father to son. A shared passion for making bronze more accessible, revealing its beauty and simplicity.'

The foundry has been operating since 1997, with the Entrelacs lighting brand as its creative expression. The company holds the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) label, awarded since 2013.

'Bronze, alabaster, materials inherited from the origins of our world, crafted into timeless, pared-down expressions.' Each piece is subtly framed in real cast bronze, with alabaster refined into raw, simple shapes. Signatures Singulières described their approach as 'brutalism in the light,' with a focus on the essence of the material.
