Interior Architecture · Brand Strategy · Furniture Design
CA&CO was founded in 1985 by Martine Cazes and Thierry Conquet, both graduates of the prestigious École Camondo in Paris, to pursue a holistic approach to interior architecture that encompasses private residences, commercial spaces, furniture design and brand strategy.
Martine Cazes trained under the Parisian decorator Christian Badin at David Hicks before spending five years as project manager at the firm of Jean-Pascal Agasse and Christian de Beauvais, where she created environments for haute-couture houses including Pierre Balmain, Lanvin and Hanae Mori. She later earned an MBA in Global Fashion Management from the Institut Français de la Mode and authored a thesis titled 'Genius Loci: the role of architectural space in the brand universe.'
Thierry Conquet, who graduated top of his class at Camondo in 1981, spent a formative decade alongside Andrée Putman and Jean-François Bodin at the legendary Ecart studio, contributing to projects such as the Morgan's Hotel in New York and the Saint-James Club in Paris. He went on to direct the restoration of Le Corbusier's Villa Turque in La Chaux-de-Fonds and served as artistic director for the Swiss watchmakers Ebel and Parmigiani Fleurier. As president of the French Interior Architects Council (CFAI, 2006–2010), he led the legal recognition and protection of the interior architect title in France.
Together, their practice blends cultivated European elegance with rigorous conceptual thinking — a signature their clients consistently note.
