Ébénisterie d'Art & Sacred Art Furniture
"Ses mains pensent quand l'esprit travaille."
— Bruno de Maistre
Born in 1979 in Île-de-France, Bruno de Maistre is a Maître Artisan d'art ébéniste whose path to furniture-making took a decisive detour through the world of advertising. After studying applied arts at the Parisian school Penninghen and later at Intuit/Lab, he spent several years working in communication — an experience that sharpened his eye for design but left him longing for a deeper engagement with materials and making.
At the age of thirty, de Maistre answered that calling by enrolling in the cabinetmaking programme at the prestigious École Boulle (2009–2011). In 2011, he founded Ateliers BdM, establishing his workshop in the heart of the Rambouillet forest, in the Vallée de Chevreuse near Paris.
