Özdemir and Çağlar met while studying interior architecture at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts in Istanbul. After graduating, both gained experience abroad — Özdemir in London, Çağlar in New York — before returning to Istanbul with a shared conviction that Turkish design could occupy a distinctive place on the international stage. The name 'Autoban' references the highway: open, directional and without borders.
