Alpange is a French piano house founded by Raphaël Soudre and Franck Bacquet, the result of a shared dream to reimagine the grand piano for the twenty-first century. A pianist since childhood, Soudre had long wondered how the instrument could attain absolute acoustic excellence while breaking free from its traditional constraints of weight, footprint, and tuning. To answer that question he turned to Bacquet, a software engineer, and together — supported by a team of cabinetmakers, acoustic engineers, and designers — they spent years developing what would become the Alpange piano.
