Decorative Object
Valérie Rostaing is a Paris-based interior architect and designer known for her sculptural approach to furniture. She views each piece in its sculptural dimension, relying on subtle antagonisms and a neoclassical style to bring out an exquisite, elegant, and refined modernity.
Her first furniture collection was conceived during a summer randonnée in the Mercantour Alps in 2019 — each piece of furniture, each luminaire, each object finding its source in the landscape between sky and earth, the odours, sounds, stone, wood, and metal.
Her practice spans both interior architecture and furniture design. Notable projects include Taipei House, a grand residence designed over four years for collectors of works by Picasso and David Hockney. She has exhibited at Galerie Gradiva in Paris.
