About

Peter Reed is a British luxury linen house founded in 1861 on the historic slopes of Pendle Hill in Lancashire — the heartland of the country's once-dominant cotton industry, known as 'Cottonopolis,' where over two-thirds of the world's cotton was woven, dyed and finished. For more than 160 years the company has remained rooted in the same region, crafting bed linen entirely in-house from spinning to stitching.

The firm holds a Royal Warrant for bed linens, a mark of excellence that underscores its dedication to meticulous hand-finishing and precision craftsmanship. Each piece is produced from the finest long-staple Egyptian and Supima cottons, with thread counts and weave structures — from classic percale to dense sateen — refined over generations.

Peter Reed's mission centres on bespoke personalisation: from custom monogramming to made-to-measure sheets for non-standard beds, the house treats every order as an individual commission. Their linens are found in some of the world's most distinguished residences and hotels, earning a reputation as the gold standard of British bed linen making.
