Classical architecture lines, handcrafted into collectibles.
"You need to be both a creator and a builder — that dual competence appealed to me immediately. Seeing a project develop from something abstract is always quite magical. It is, in my opinion, one of the reasons this profession can become a passion bordering on obsession."
— Martin Massé, Signatures Singulières

After graduating top of his class from the ESAG Penninghen School of Architecture and Design in 2014, Martin Massé completed his studies at the École Spéciale d'Architecture in Paris. He went on to work with some of the most respected names in French design — Joseph Dirand, Tristan Auer and Jean-Michel Wilmotte — on projects spanning Miami to the Bordeaux vineyards. He founded his own studio in 2017. It was during those early years, working closely with exceptional craftsmen on Joseph Dirand's projects, that his direction became clear. The relationship between designer and artisan — the act of bringing a drawing to life through rare skill — became the heart of everything he would go on to create.

Martin conceives his furniture collections as small buildings. Ancient Roman architecture, the Art Deco movement, Romanesque proportions, Japanese craftsmanship — all feed into a design language that is monumental, sculptural and deliberately timeless. His shapes are simple and legible, given sophistication through the preciousness of their materials: rare marble, travertine, charred wood, brass. Science fiction, cinema, poetry and travel round out a constellation of references that is as wide as it is personal — always in service of the same goal: objects that feel ancient and contemporary at once.
