"I wanted to create a lighting brand that is known and appreciated all around the globe.\n"
— Nicci Green, Design Daily interview at Euroluce 2019
With over 25 years of experience in design, Nicci Green (née Kavals) established Articolo Architectural Lighting in 2012 in Melbourne. Before founding Articolo, she designed product for international brands including Armani Casa, Donna Karan, Nicole Fahri, and Country Road.
Articolo Studios is celebrated for crafting artisanal lighting pieces that adorn prestigious venues from Nobu Restaurants to the Tiffany & Co. flagship. The studio has self-funded its global expansion to 63 countries, with showrooms in Melbourne and New York City.
In 2022, the studio celebrated its tenth anniversary, expanding from sculptural lighting into tactile furniture — embracing architectural presence, material nuance, and poetic restraint. "I wanted to create a lighting brand that is known and appreciated all around the globe," Green stated during Euroluce at Salone del Mobile in Milan.
