About
Alex Proba is a German-born, New York-based multidisciplinary artist and designer whose exuberant patterns and swirling organic forms have made her one of the most sought-after creative voices in contemporary design. Founded in 2013 while she was still working as an art director for Nike, Studio Proba has since expanded across product, graphic, environmental and furniture design — transforming every possible surface into a canvas for joy.

Proba studied spatial and graphic design at the Akademie Mode und Design in Berlin and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam before moving to New York, where she began her career in branding and art direction. In 2018, she committed full-time to her studio after a personal project — 'A Poster a Day' — in which she designed a poster every day for a year, went viral and attracted international attention.
